Bowenwork Therapy

Bowenwork is a gentle bodywork (therapeutic touching or manipulation of the body by using specialized techniques) for pain management and other conditions. It is a unique approach to stimulating the body’s natural healing ability. This therapy allows the body to reset itself to proper health through a series of non-invasive, gentle yet powerful, movements on muscle and connective tissue. Bowenwork is neither derived from nor similar to any other hands-on bodywork modality. It is a complementary bodywork therapy which enhances and complements, but does not interfere with, traditional medical treatment. Bowenwork is appropriate for everyone from newborns to the very elderly and frail, each according to need.Bowenwork was developed in Australia by Mr. Tom Bowen in 1950 and is now practiced in 25 countries.
